Russ Cox 9a76102bfb all: go fmt ./...
Make all our package sources use Go 1.17 gofmt format
(adding //go:build lines).

Not strictly necessary but will avoid spurious changes
as files are edited.

Part of //go:build change (#41184).
See https://golang.org/design/draft-gobuild

Tobias Klauser c5abc1b1d3 unix: revert zsysnum_darwin_*.go deletion from CL 250437
CL 250437 removed the zsysnum_darwin_*.go files containing the SYS_*
contants for macOS. This was done assuming that users should migrate
away from direct syscalls to libSystem wrappers. Let's not force users
of this package on when they want to do that and re-add the
zsysnum_darwin_*.go files and mark the consts as deprecated.

We can still remove these once macOS actively prevents use of direct
syscalls.

Fixes golang/go#41868

Tobias Klauser 6fcdbc0bbc unix: drop support for pre-1.12 direct syscalls on darwin
Go 1.12 and newer are using libSystem for syscalls on darwin.
Go 1.11 is the last release to use direct syscalls. It hasn't been
supported since the release of Go 1.13 in September 2019, so drop
support for direct syscalls.

Visweswara R 367055b3f9 unix: replace mksysnum_*.pl scripts with Go program
Port mksysnum_{(open|net|free)bsd,dragonfly,darwin}.pl Perl
scripts to mksysnum.go.

mkall.sh script is modified to run mksysnum.go. Running
./mkall.sh generates no git diff besides command name and
function prototype in comments of generated files.

Tobias Klauser 8413e589a2 unix: regenerate for macOS 10.13/iOS 11.1
Update the syscall numbers and error constants on macOS 10.13 with iOS
SDK 11.1.

The removed syscalls are all removed or marked as deprecated/old in the
following list

  https://opensource.apple.com/source/xnu/xnu-4570.1.46/bsd/kern/syscalls.master

which according to

  https://opensource.apple.com/release/macos-1013.html

is the kernel version used for macOS 10.13.

The poll function was moved around because I missed to regenerate the
zsyscall_darwin_*.go files in CL 74290.

Aaron Jacobs 9c60d1c508 x/sys/unix: regenerate darwin/386 outputs
I did this on OS X 10.10.5 (14F27) using the OS X 10.10 SDK included in
Xcode 6.4 (6E35b) for syscall numbers. I believe this SDK is intended
for 64-bit Macs, but the syscall numbers aren't likely to vary. See also
the discussion in this thread:

This commit contains the same SYS_SYSCTL -> SYS___SYSCTL workaround
found in commit 9ef4b6c; see its description for more info.

Rob Pike 8442dd2c63 go.sys: update package names
Semi-automatic migration from package syscall to package {plan9,windows,unix}.
No builds attempted yet, but this gets a lot of noise behind us so subsequent
CLs will be more concise and easier to follow.
Subsequent CLs will have semantic content.

Rob Pike 20acc5cf31 go.sys: copy files from syscall package to go.sys/{plan9,windows,unix}
This CL copies to each package of go.sys the files from syscall it will need.
Different directories have different files, but these:
        mkall.sh
        str.go
        syscall.go
        mksyscall.pl
        race.go
        race0.go
        syscall_test.go
are copied to all three.
No changes yet, these are just copies. They are not ready to use yet:
package names are wrong, for starters. But this clean copy will make
it easier to follow the changes as the packages are enabled.
